And finally...A Prayer Before Sex
In case you're into kinky, bizarre bedroom rituals, a new book in the UK features a special prayer to be said before sex, which supposedly helps couples "purify their intentions". The Prayer Before Making Love implores God "to place within us love that truly gives, tenderness that truly unites, self-offering that tells the truth and does not deceive, forgiveness that truly receives, loving physical union that welcomes". Um...okay. This little ditty, along with others, is featured in Prayer Book for Spouses, a 64-page book published by a "prominent" church group alled Catholic Truth Society and retails for £1.95 (or roughly $3.17 USD). The Rt Rev Paul Hendricks, who is the Auxiliary Bishop of Southwark, praised the book saying, “'It is important for the Church to affirm the value of marriage and family life and I suppose this is a particular way of doing that.
