Today's God Crimes

In Arkansas, a victim/wife of evangelist Tony Alamo told a federal court that the preacher had so many partners that he needed to schedule how often he would have sex with them. Alamo, now 74, is accused of sexually abusing girls as young as eight. When Alamo's wife (who he married when she was 15) began to scrutinize his behavior, he told her not to question what "the Lord told me to do."

In Connecticut, after reading the Bible, a 24-year-old nutcase allegedly beat several people (including two children ages 1 and 3) with a two-by-four while screaming he was "the Son of Jesus".

God told homeless woman not to surrender to police

In Hawaii last week, a homeless woman claimed that God told her to not to surrender to the police after three cops confronted her at a local business where she was was wielding a metal skewer and a metal pipe.

After being told to put down the objects by one of the officers, the woman said God told her he was not a cop and not to let go of the objects. She then lunged at the police, who Tasered and shot her. She was treated and is now in police custody.

God told judge to create probation program that he pilfered from

In Little Rock, a judge facing judicial misconduct allegations said that God told him to create the anti-addition program...which he later pilfered money from.

A former colleague of Judge Willard Proctor testified that he said "“I believe I was called from God to do this". The same witness also claimed she witnessed Proctor counting a pile of money --collected through fees for the program -- his office. I wonder if that was ordained by the Lord as well.

Once again, a person with some status in his community professing divine inspiration is able to rob people blind. It's disgusting. Believer beware!
